The Isle of Lewis is the original chess set found in the Isle of Lewis. Various stories have evolved to explain why they were concealed there, and how they were discovered. All that is certain is that they were found some time before 11 April 1831, when they were exhibited at the Society of Antiquaries at Scotland. The precise findspot seems to have been a sand dune where they may have been placed in a small, drystone chamber. Now you can own your little piece of history with this replica set. Made of resin the board is 38 x 38cm and the pieces range down from 8cm in size.

Auckland deliveries and some local desitinations such as Hamilton are same day, next day delivery. Elsewhere overnight - two nights is the expected timeline. Please note no parcel collection occurs during the weekend and Saturday deliveries are only by special arrangement.

Your Fastway tracking number will be logged for you as soon as it is packed an awaiting collection so log into the website to view your tracking number and you can then use the Fastway website to see exactly where your parcel is.

Please allow two days for delivery to save any disappointment however if you have an urgent delivery requirement please detail at the checkout and we will do what we can to ensure your needs are met.

Please note when sending gifts overseas tracked post will be managed and sorted should your parcel not be received by Rapt Online however with the standard post option this is at your own risk.
